"From the canvas to the vase"

Following last year’s success, the flower arranging workshop with agricultural technologist Maria Papadopoulou returns to the B&E Goulandris Foundation. Drawing inspiration from the way nature is depicted in art, the workshop will take place at the Children’s Workshop as independent monthly sessions, each with a different theme, starting on Wednesday, October 22.

Taking as a starting point works from the Collection that depict nature, once a month Maria Papadopoulou unfolds the basic techniques of flower arranging. She talks about the magic hidden in the colours and scents of flowers, the particular characteristics of specific flowers, explains how to choose the right flowers for our personal space and step by step shows us how to create our own bouquet as well as how to preserve flowers in our vase.

At the end of each workshop, all participants leave with their own abundant bouquet, ready to be placed in their vase!
