Games for Adults: “Memory and Choice - Traces of an Artist”
Specially designed programmes for people aged 60+ and for persons with Mild Cognitive Impairment at the exhibition “Jannis Psychopedis: Landscapes of Memory. The Ones I Kept” (in Greek)
The B&E Goulandris Foundation’s specially designed programme for people aged 60+ and for persons with Mild Cognitive Impairment titled “Games for Adults”, offered free of charge in collaboration with the thallo initiative and with the valuable support of Alpha Bank, returns on the occasion of the new temporary exhibition “Jannis Psychopedis: Landscapes of Memory. The Ones I Kept”.
What is an image? A testimony, a landscape of memory, an act of resistance or a choice for a personal archive? And what, indeed, remains of a person or a place when we remember them?
Following the artistic journey of Jannis Psychopedis from 1962 to the present day, participants are invited to observe and begin a dialogue about personal and collective memory and how these are transformed into images. At the end of each session, an organic connection is created with a different Greek artist each time from the Foundation’s permanent Collection, and the activity concludes with a short visit to that artist’s work.
