Jingle & Clay!

The B&E Goulandris Foundation invites you to get into the Christmas spirit and create your own ceramic ornaments under the guidance of ceramist Elpida Kourtzi, in the two-session ceramics workshop for adults and teens 15+ “Jingle & Clay!”, which will take place on Fridays, December 12 and 19.

In the “Jingle & Clay” workshop, adults and teens take part in a joyful and creative experience where clay becomes a tool for expression, play and personal storytelling. The handmade process of ceramics encourages us to connect with the material, slow down our pace and allow our ideas to take shape through touch, movement and the freedom of creation.

Drawing inspiration from the Foundation’s Collection, we observe the colour harmonies, light and atmosphere of its artworks and bring this aesthetic into our own ceramic creations. In the spirit of Christmas, we shape more than six festive ceramic objects, which can decorate our space or become a unique handmade gift filled with personality and warmth.

In the first session, we will create the ceramic ornaments, and in the second session, we will apply colour in combination with the technique of clay engraving.

All participants will be able to collect their ornaments from the Museum, packaged as gifts, starting December 22.
