Nature & Art
Themed interactive guided tours in the Collection on the occasion of Earth Day (in Greek)
What connects nature and art? How do artists draw inspiration from the natural world—and how do they bring it to life in their work?
To mark Earth Day, the B&E Goulandris Foundation invites you to discover this unique relationship in two exclusive, interactive tours on Friday, April 25 and Sunday, April 27.
In the first part of the experience, we will explore selected works from the Foundation’s permanent Collection that focus on the environment and its connection with humanity. From A. R. Penck’s ecological concerns and Germaine Richier’s hybrid sculptures to Anselm Kiefer’s use of natural materials on canvas, we will examine how nature influences modern and contemporary art practices.
Then, it’s your turn to create: in the second part of the tour, participants become artists themselves, crafting original pieces on canvas using recyclable materials from everyday life—like plastic, paper, and more.
No prior artistic experience is required to participate in this event.
