With great enthusiasm, the B&E Goulandris Foundation is taking part in the 1st Active Aging Festival, organised by the Municipality of Athens from March 23 to March 27.

On Wednesday, March 26, at the Amphitheater of the B&E Goulandris Foundation the award ceremony for the "Art³" painting competition, organised by the Municipality of Athens and the Foundation, will take place.

The "Art³" initiative is a painting competition that promotes creative expression and the development of artistic talent in three main thematic categories: Still Life, Portrait, and Landscape. The goal is to encourage participation and artistic growth, offering contestants the opportunity to excel in two distinct areas within each category: original composition and faithful representation.

During the ceremony, a total of nine awards will be presented—three per thematic category—recognising both creativity and originality, as well as technical excellence in realistic depiction.

Contestants were invited to draw inspiration from three representative works from the Foundation’s Collection, namely “Countryside in Auvers-sur-Oise” by Paul Cézanne (Landscape category), “Still Life” by Maurice de Vlaminck (Still Life category) and “Portrait of E.B.G.” by Marc Chagall (Portrait category) and their artworks will be displayed in the Amphitheater foyer. The jury responsible for the selection and awards ceremony includes Katerina Georgopoulou (visual artist and Head of Educational Programmes at the B&E Goulandris Foundation), Pelagia Kyriazi (visual artist), Katerina Markadaki (Head of Business Development at the B&E Goulandris Foundation) and Notis Paraskevopoulos (co-founder of Seveneleven NPO).
