The tour “Peace & War in the Collection of the B&E Goulandris Foundation” presents works by internationally renowned 20th-century artists whose lives and artistic production were closely connected with the major wars of the past century and the suffering they caused. Artists such as Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Georges Braque and Anselm Kiefer, who experienced the impact of war, used their art to highlight the need for peace or to express their reaction to the devastation of war.
