“Spectators on stage”
Workshop for children aged 7 to 10 (in Greek)
What happens when the figures in a painting gain depth, texture and character? Who are the spectators in art, and who are we when we observe them?
In the new creative workshop of the B&E Goulandris Foundation for children aged 7–10, "Spectators on Stage", we draw inspiration from the work "Spectators" by Edouard Sacaillan and create our own three-dimensional stage, full of faces, gazes and stories.
Children are invited to carefully observe the composition and expressiveness of the artwork, to wonder who these spectators are and what they might be thinking and to bring their own figures to life through a multilayered construction made of paper and mixed materials. Each child creates their own stage — a composition that combines colour, style, characters and narrative elements.
