Creative Workshops and Interactive Guided Tours for Families at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Andros

As part of the Takis 1∞ retrospective exhibition, presented at the Foundation’s museums in Athens and Andros, the B&E Goulandris Foundation invites its young friends to become magnetic-artists!

Magnetic Games: Inspired by the world of Takis! (in Greek or English)

Workshop for children aged 5-7, 7-10 & 8-12

In the workshop “Magnetic Games: Inspired by the world of Takis!”, designed for children aged 5–12, we will have the chance to play with magnets, explore invisible forces and create our own magnetic games inspired by the magnetic world of the sculptor Takis — the artist who used to say he could hear magnets... "sing."

We’ll experiment like scientists, create like artists and discover how, with a little imagination and curiosity, art and science can come together to play from a very young age.

How can an object move without being touched? What is a magnetic field and how can we create with it? How fun is it to make things using forces we can’t even see?

Through play, colours and magnetic materials, the children will create a unique piece of art that moves and comes to life with the power of magnets — just like Takis did.

For children aged 5-7:
Every Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday | 18.00-19.00

For children aged 7-10:
Every Thursday | 19.00-20.00

For children aged 8-12:
Every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday | 19.30-20.30

Interactive Guided Tours for Families (in Greek or English)

For family groups of up to 10 people (adults and children from 6 years old)

As part of the retrospective exhibition Takis 1∞, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Andros invites both young and old to a unique interactive tour designed for the whole family, centred around the work of the pioneering sculptor Takis.

Adults and children will have the opportunity to explore the artist’s magnetic world together through hands-on activities that blend art, play and imagination. With a focus on movement, sound, and energy, the tour becomes a journey of expression and creativity that brings generations together.

Through questions, activities and interactions, the works of Takis come to life in a way that is both accessible and exciting for the entire family.
