"The House with the Windows"
Workshop for children aged 8–10 (in Greek)
«Everything we see hides another thing.» René Magritte
Inspired by the surreal world of the renowned painter René Magritte, children aged 8 to 10 transform the façade of a simple house into a scene of mystery. Behind the illuminated “glass” windows, the curtains and the hidden doors, strange objects, secret animals and mysterious figures begin to appear.
In the painter’s works, everyday objects take on unexpected and uncanny forms, inviting the viewer into a world where the logical and the fantastical merge to create a dreamlike realm filled with extraordinary events.
The workshop takes place within the framework of the temporary exhibition "From Monet to Warhol" presented at the Museum of the B&E Goulandris Foundation in Athens from December 6, 2025 to April 11, 2026. The exhibition brings to Greece, for the first time, part of a landmark private collection and three generations of collectors. Featuring 83 works by 45 internationally acclaimed artists, the collection takes us on a journey from Impressionism and Monet’s Water Lilies to Pop Art and Lichtenstein’s Water Lilies.
