Christmas Camp for Children Aged 5-10

At the annual Christmas Camp that the B&E Goulandris Foundation is running for yet another year, children aged 5 to 10 will have the opportunity to end the year in a fun and creative way!

From December 27 to 31, at the Christmas Camp My city celebrates! children will explore works of art from the Foundation’s Collection and will gain a different urban landscape perspective: what would their city look like if their imagination took over this holiday season? For this year’s Camp, the Foundation joins forces with the Athens Conservatoire and distinguished composer and director of the Conservatoire’s Music Schools Philippos Tsalahouris for two special meetings, where children will get acquainted with musical instruments and discover the more subtle aspects of music.

Christmas Gift Ideas

at the B&E Goulandris Shop!

The B&E Goulandris Shop, with its great selection of original gifts and ornaments that are inspired by the Collection of the B&E Goulandris Foundation, adds its own festive touch to this year’s holiday season.

Christmas ornaments, scented candles, pillowcases with festive patterns, cotton placemats, plexiglass serving trays and 2023 daily/weekly calendars are just some of the shop’s home decorating and gift ideas, while the Foundation’s lucky charm for 2023, a gold plated silver pendant inspired by Joan Miró’s work “The Grasshopper” (1926), is the perfect way to welcome the new year.


Christmas Treats

at the B&E Goulandris Café-Restaurant!

Mulled wine and Christmas log await visitors of the Foundation at the B&E Goulandris Café-Restaurant! Especially on Friday 23 December, there will be a selection of delicious Christmas treats!

The Foundation's Café is run by the experienced team of Dipnosofistirion which offers breakfast, brunch and lunch as well as a variety of snacks and desserts, coffee and drinks. The menu is signed by executive chef Dimitris Skarmoutsos and the wines have been selected by top sommelier Aris Sklavenitis.

Scrooge: A Christmas Musical Performance

by El Sistema Greece, featuring Jerome Kaluta

The festive programme kicks off on Sunday December 18 with the musical performance “Scrooge”, a joint production of El Sistema Greece and radio station ATHENS 9.84. The “Kypseli” Orchestra and the El Sistema Greece Youth Choir perform the cantata for children’s voices that is based on Charles Dickens’ famous Christmas Carol, while well-known actor and singer Jerome Kaluta does the narration.

Two performances will take place on the same day, at 12.30 and at 15.00, while the first one will be broadcast live by Lilly Karatzaferi at the ATHENS 9.84 radio station and at 98.3 FM.

The performance takes place in Greek.


Christmas Concert

by the Young Musicians Choir of the Athens Conservatoire

On Friday December 23, just two days before Christmas, the B&E Goulandris Foundation will join forces with the Athens Conservatoire for a very special concert by the Conservatoire’s Young Musicians Choir!

Starting at 18.00 and for about half an hour, the Choir will sing carols and other all-time Christmas classics at the Foundation’s reception area, in front of the Christmas tree, getting Museum visitors into the festive spirit.

Admission is free of charge.
