The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation (BEGF) offers young people aged 18 to 35 the opportunity to undertake paid work experience at its Museum in Athens.
The programme relates to internship in the Visitor Experience Department of the Athens Museum of the BEGF (reception, information, event organisation, workshops, school visits, guided tours, exhibition area supervision etc.) where interns will come into daily contact with visitors and have the opportunity to enhance, among others, their communication, cooperation and adaptability skills, and learn about the structures and mechanisms involved in the running of an internationally renowned cultural organisation.
The Museum’s Board of Directors decides the number of internship positions per year. Unless otherwise announced, internships last for one year and start in September of each year. The work hours are 40 hours per week/5 or 6 days/on a rota system (including weekends).
The Internship Programme is mainly aimed at students and graduates of the following academic disciplines: Fine Arts, History of Art, Cultural Management, Humanities, Architecture, Marketing / Communications.
Interested candidates are invited to express their interest exclusively during the application period and in accordance with the process defined by each declaration. Applications submitted at any other times will not be taken into consideration.

Considering the specific circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic and as a result of the 3-month suspension of the Foundation’s operation by virtue of State order, the beginning of the 2nd Internship Program 2020-2021 is postponed until further notice.
