The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation’s Library is an art library, with more than 7500 items, most of which come from the private art books collection of the founders, Basil and Elise Goulandris, as well as from new acquisitions and donations.

The forementioned items cover several areas, such as the theory and history of art, painting, drawing, sculpture, engraving, architecture, and the decorative arts, mainly in Greek, English, and French. Moreover, the book collection includes exhibition catalogues, monographs related to distinguished Greek and foreign artists, museums and art foundations’ publications both from Greece and abroad, art journals, encyclopedias, and art dictionaries.

The Library is available to its visitors for on-site reading, after prior notice, while it is not a loaning one. Several lectures and activities related to art and culture are also hosted at the Library.
