Ceramic Jewelry

The B&E Goulandris Foundation is organising a new series of the “Ceramic Jewelry” pottery workshop for adults and teens (15+) with ceramist Elpida Kourtzi that will take place in three meetings, on November 29, December 6 and December 13.

At the “Ceramic Jewelry” workshop we make unique ceramic jewelry pieces, inspired by the works of the B&E Goulandris Foundation Collection. Following the completion of all three meetings, participants take home their jewelry baked, glazed and gift-wrapped.

• • In the first meeting, following an introduction to the dynamics of clay and the finesse of porcelain, participants choose which material they want to use and then they make their own small objects such as beads, earrings and brooches.

• • In the second meeting, participants learn the different glazing techniques.

• • In the third meeting, participants apply real 24-K gold on their baked and coloured ceramic jewelry, to highlight the details of their work.
