The B&E Goulandris Foundation, in collaboration with ceramist Elpida Kourtzi, will run a ceramics workshop for adults and teenagers aged 15 and over. Over the course of three creative sessions—on February 21, 28 and March 7—you will discover the magic of clay and porcelain, transforming them into elegant, handcrafted jewelry.

Inspired by works from the Foundation’s Collection, we will experiment with textures, shapes, and techniques to craft unique jewelry. At the end of the workshop, you will take home your creations—fired, glazed, and ready to wear—in a beautiful gift package.

What will we do in each session?

Session 1: Introduction to clay and porcelain—which material suits you best? Then, you will sculpt your own unique designs: beads, earrings, brooches and anything else that inspires you.

Session 2: Exploring the art of glazing! Using transparent or colorful crackle glazes, you will add depth and shine to your jewelry pieces.

Session 3: The golden touch! We will apply real 22-karat gold details to your fired and glazed ceramic jewelry, making your creations one of a kind.

Special Segment: Making a "Martaki" Bracelet

Welcome spring with your very own handmade Martaki bracelet! You will craft small ceramic charms, paint them in vibrant colors and combine them with the iconic red-and-white thread. A traditional lucky charm, made with your own hands.

Don’t miss the chance to be part of this unique experience and create jewelry that reflects your personal style and imagination!
