Workshop for children aged 8-10
Our world is incredibly rich, as long as we can gather that richness.
The B&E Goulandris Foundation draws inspiration from its permanent Collection of works and invites children aged 8 to 10 to lose themselves in the diverse images of Robert Rauschenberg that appear and then disappear, as a result of light, shadows and the reflections on the surfaces of his works.
At the Fields and levels workshop, children search for the shadows, the shapes and the personal photographs hidden in the artist’s work “City Camp”. Then, using mixed media, they learn how to make their own compositions with different means, materials and techniques. Ηence the images, memories and experiences from Athens’ urban landscape become the starting point for the so-called “combines”, that reproduce scenes from urban life in different levels and layers.

* Children taking part in the workshop are advised to be at the Museum 10’ before the workshop starts.
