Thematic guided tours of the B&E Goulandris Foundation Collection (in Greek)
“Post-Impressionisms”, the B&E Goulandris Foundation’s new thematic guided tour gives visitors the opportunity to explore post-impressionist works by distinguished artists from the Foundation’s permanent Collection.
Following an introduction to Impressionism and its key features, the guided tour focuses on the post-impressionist works of Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin, Paul Cézanne, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Pierre Bonnard who differentiated themselves and stood out over the same period of time. The guided tour has been designed to highlight the evolution of Impressionism through all the new elements that these artists introduced in terms of technique, influences and palette, going as far as the Nabi movement and including references to the Neo-Impressionism art movement.
The “Post-Impressionisms” thematic guided tour takes place at the first floor of the permanent Collection every Friday 18.00-18.45 and every Saturday and Sunday 12.00-12.45.
