On Monday, November 20, the B&E Goulandris Foundation will honour the Foundation’s Vice-President Hélène Glykatzi-Ahrweiler with a special event where people who have known her throughout her life will talk about her life and career.
Former President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos will talk about the historian Hélène Glykatzi-Ahrweiler and her contribution to highlighting Byzantine history worldwide, while poet Titos Patrikios will talk about her early years. The Foundation’s General Director Kyriakos Koutsomallis will discuss the time Ahrweiler spent in Paris, Professor of Psychology at Panteion University and writer Fotini Tsalikoglou will analyse her pivotal role in a world where our freedom is restricted by conventions and stereotypes and, finally, poet and writer Vangelis Chronis will talk about her poetry.
Journalist and writer Anna Grimani will co-ordinate the event, while pianist Natalia Michailidou will perform works by Chopin, Ravel and other composers.
