In collaboration with actress and choreographer Konstantina Lallou and drawing inspiration from George Rorris’ work “Large Study in Cadmium Red”, that is part of the B&E Goulandris Foundation’s Collection, on Monday January 27 the Foundation launches the improvisation, movement and breathing seminar “Moving”. The two-day seminar will take place at the third floor of the Foundation’s permanent Collection.

Focusing on improvisation and guided by Konstantina Lallou, we listen to our body and allow ourselves to be moved by our breath. Starting with the references hidden in Rorris’ work and the associations that the colour red brings to mind, we discover the movement that results from our own breathing and stems from our key chakra that corresponds to the earth element.

With the help of movements, breathing, colours and music we gradually learn all about improvisation, so that we can discover our own motion and be able to reply with our body to the stimuli we receive as we create our own, personal choreography.

The “Moving” seminar is addressed to anyone who wants to explore their body through the breathing movement and discover their own, “personal” dance.

Konstantina Lallou is an actress, dancer and a certified dance and yoga teacher. She has taught classical and contemporary dance, yoga, movement and improvisation to various groups and schools. Recently, she has been focusing on improvisation, teaching seminars that combine dance with theatre, body with speech, dance with yoga.
