Jazz at the Museum
Filippou & Lucaciu feat. Natalia Manta
The B&E Goulandris Foundation’s popular concert series Jazz at the Museum will end its tribute to “Visual Journeys: A series of jazz concerts with improvisation and visual projection” on Friday December 8, with a performance by the Filippou & Lucaciu Duet and artist Natalia Manta.
Vibraphone player Evi Filippou and double bassist Robert Lucaciu explore a variety of 21st century compositions, skillfully balancing between jazz, free improvisation and tradition. Creating a fun dialogue between the double bass and the vibraphone, they turn their musical experiences into a mosaic of sounds and every time they join forces on stage they engage in a journey of exploration and redefinition.
Artist Natalia Manta, co-founder of the Sound of Color series, has been exploring how music and art can harmoniously co-exist. At the B&E Goulandris Foundation she will improvise with live analog visuals, producing a multimedia show that will turn this musical journey into an audiovisual experience.

About the "Jazz at the Museum" series
The B&E Goulandris Foundation presents Jazz at the Museum, a series of tribute concerts to different jazz genres. Once a month, jazz meets visual art and together they take us on a music journey to the heart of jazz, at the B&E Goulandris Foundation Amphitheatre and under the artistic direction of Dimitris Tsakas.
In this series, jazz ensembles explore different aspects of the relationship between jazz improvisations and visual projection. The series kicked off on November 10
with a concert by the Alex Dante Duet and ends on December 8 with the Filippou & Lucaciu Duet, accompanied by artist Natalia Manta.
