How do we make a sculpture? What is sculpture’s relationship with sound, music and its surroundings?

The B&E Goulandris Foundation invites children aged 6-8 to discover the relationship between sculpture and sound and then create their own musical sculpture, drawing inspiration from world distinguished Greek artist Takis (Panagiotis Vassilakis).

At the Musical Sculptures workshop, children explore the work of Takis and then create their own sculpture with wood and other objects. After “dressing” their sculpture with sounds, they join forces to experiment with the concept of a band that is made entirely of musical sculptures!
