Paper, Threads and Stitches
This is a series of workshops on the art of bookbinding, that is bound to make you feel nostalgic all over again for the texture and feel of your favorite childhood books.
Get to know the world of the hand-bound book, by browsing its pages, stitching it into shape with needle and thread, selecting fabrics and papers for its covers and pages and forming a unique relationship with your very own creation from start to finish. Across two workshops, participants are introduced to the tools, materials, and techniques of creating and binding handmade books with special seams (Soft-Cover/Perfect, Japanese and Hardcover/Case binding).
