The Portraits of George Rorris: Mirror Reflections! (English Language)
Interactive Guided Tour for Children Aged 6-9
What lies behind the portraits of George Rorris?
What feelings does a journey through his multiple layers of colour evoke?
Which words come to mind when staring at his paintings?
Children aged 6-9 have the opportunity to seek the answers to all these questions at the B&E Goulandris Foundation’s interactive guided tours, which are part of the George Rorris retrospective, The Nobleness of Purity, on display at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Andros.
After browsing through the artist’s portraits, children are called to draw inspiration from his works and seek their own reflection, always in relation to their surroundings as seen through the mirror. Where will this self-discovery lead? What will the children encounter and what kind of magical world will unravel in front of them?
