What is the secret of Alexandra Athanassiades’ wonderful creations?

Where does she find the inspiration to make her special metal, wood and paper sculptures?

The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation encourages children to provide their own creative answers to these questions, by participating in the educational workshops taking place from July 27 to August 21 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Andros as part of the exhibition "Alexandra Athanassiades - Shaping the Intangible".

To discover Alexandra Athanassiades’ secret, we must first search for lost items on the beaches of Andros, then bring them to the Museum where, using Alexandra’s works as a starting point, we will find different ways to use these materials creatively and make our own sculptures.

If you don’t have the time to look for your own lost items, all necessary materials will be waiting for you at the Museum!
