They say that you can drink water from a fountain that horses use, because a horse will never drink muddy water!

Horses star in many ancient and popular legends associated with water, maybe because in the past people had to use their horse to get water from the fountain. Legend has it that Pegasus, the mythical horse, was tamed by a fountain…

But did you know that fountains can also be found in the city, to quench the thirst of all passers-by as well as horses? One of them is located at the Aghios Spyridonas square, right in front of the entrance of the B&E Goulandris Foundation!

With blue, the colour of water, as a background, children aged 5 to 8 discover how many different shades of blue exist in the paintings and the artworks on display at the Museum. Then they create their own “blue” horse out of a special cast and invent their own legend about the fountain in the square! They can take the horse that they made back home, to use as a toy or a talisman.
