General terms of e-shop
This present website constitutes the electronic store for the sale of goods over the internet (hereinafter the “Store”) of the Greek legal entity of private law Foundation under the name “BASIL & ELISE GOULANDRIS FOUNDATION” (Tax Registration Number 090114626) having its registered seat in Andros, Cyclades, Greece and its offices in Athens, at 13 Eratosthenous street, 11635, Greece (hereinafter the “Foundation”).
These present General Terms and Conditions of Contract (hereinafter the “T&C”) aim to set forth in a clear and comprehensive manner, abiding to the principles of good faith and to provisions on the validity of contracts, the terms and conditions governing the relationships between the Foundation and any visitor or/and customer of the Store, in accordance with Greek Legislation on Consumer Protection and Protection of the individual from processing of Personal Data, as in force today.
Each and all of your entries, navigations and transactions with the Store renders you a visitor or/and customer of the Store. Before proceeding to navigating through the Store, we ask you to confirm that you have fully read and understood these present T&C and that you accept them; any and all uses or/and transactions hereinafter with the Foundation through the Store presupposes your full and unconditional acceptance of these T&C.
Personal Data
The Foundation confirms that it will not use your personal data for any use not explicitly authorized by yourself, nor will it send or disclose the said data to third parties (natural persons or legal entities) not affiliated with the Foundation without your prior explicit and specific consent to do so, unless such disclosure is required for execution of your order (e.g. to collaborating courier companies) or is mandatory by law.
Even though navigating in the Store is also possible without revealing your personal data, you can benefit from additional services provided that you accept to reveal some of your personal data depending on the particular service which is of interest to you. For example, your contact details (e.g. name, surname, address for correspondence, telephone number, email) will be required for the purposes of creating your personal account, your address of correspondence will be required to communicate with the Foundation and the Store (e.g. for submitting a complaint, for receiving information or promotion material) etc.
However, for initiation and processing of your transaction with us it is necessary that you notify us of certain personal data, such as your name and surname and your contact details, your payment details (e.g. your credit card number), your shipping address for your order etc. Further, while navigating in the Store by using your personal account, the Foundation may collect information from your computer’s operational system, your browser and your IP address in order to count visits, to create order history and consumer interest for the purposes of service optimization or maintaining an internal accounting file.
The Store allows you to have access to the file where your personal data have been collected and stored as per the above and allows you to rectify, delete, amend and supplement the data and information you have submitted.
Security – Cookies
The Store uses the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol with a 256-bit encryption for safe on-line commercial transactions. In this manner all of your personal information is encrypted, including the number of your credit card, name and address, so that all this information will not be read out or altered during transmission through the Internet.
As in most of the sites on the Internet we, too, use cookies in the Store, which gives us access to certain information each time you navigate through a web browser in our shop. Without the use of cookies it would be impossible for us to provide important services such as: state of orders, personal settings, storage of items in your basket or in your reminder list between two visits on your part, etc. Cookies are alphanumerical files which we transfer to the hard disk of your computer through the Internet so that we may provide services such as those referred to herein above. In the preferences section of your browser you may choose to prevent the browser from accepting new cookies or you may oblige the browser to ask you each time a new cookie is about to be installed in your hard disk. Nevertheless you should know that if you choose to prevent cookies from being stored into your hard disk you will not be able to use some of the services of our shop.
Prices
The prices indicated on the relevant catalogues next to each product include VAT. Prices refer to products and quantity of products available in the Foundation’s warehouse while the Store reserves the right to adjust prices without notice.
Submission/Cancellation of Order
Submission of a product order constitutes a binding purchase offer of the said products at the total price indicated during submission of the order, including V.A.T., packing and shipping expenses, other applicable fees and any discount to which you are entitled as visitor/customer. Your order becomes final upon confirmation from the Foundation through email at the email address you indicated upon submission of the said order. Should you fail to receive a confirmation message of your order, we kindly ask you to directly contact the Store at eshop@goulandris.gr in order to request that submission of your order is successfully completed.
The Store disposes of a mechanism for canceling an order (in full or in part) which has already been submitted but has not yet been delivered. For any such cancellation of order (in full or in part) you will need to send an email to eshop@goulandris.gr, or to call +30 210 7252895. This option is available to you up until the moment we notify you of the dispatch of you order. Following that point in time cancellation will no longer possible.
Means of Payment
Payment of a specific order is effected in full security by use of a debit card or credit card.
The Store has taken all necessary precautions to secure transactions by means of credit card. However, in case of confirmed fraudulent use of your credit card, you may cancel charge of your account upon submitting a request to the bank having issued your credit card, which is obliged to look into your complaint. For this reason you are under the obligation to immediately notify the issuing bank as soon as you realize such an event has occurred in order for such card to be cancelled and the further use thereof by unauthorized persons be prohibited.
Means, time and cost of dispatch
Products that have been ordered by you are sent at your own cost and responsibility, through courier service.
The time of delivery depends on the mode of delivery to be chosen by you. Shipments will be effected on a daily basis except for Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. The order form will mention the expected date of delivery of the items ordered by you. In special cases, especially in orders connected with foreign countries, there may be a delay by reason of the supplier's inability to provide us with the products at the expected times. In such cases a reminder will be sent to the supplier and the client will be kept advised. The Store shall bear no liability in the event of failure to deliver by reason of force majeure (natural disasters, war, political upheaval, etc.). Please note that some countries may not be served by courier services.
Product return
If the product that has been sent to you is defective or does not correspond to the one you have ordered please contact the customer service by calling +30 210 7252895 or emailing to eshop@goulandris.gr.
Advertising messages
The Store provides you with the possibility to opt to be updated on new Products, offers and services, by sending from time to time advertising-information messages to the e-mail address or telephone number previously indicated. The Store will in no event abuse of its above service. Besides, you are always given the possibility to unsubscribe from such service by submitting a relevant request to the email address eshop@goulandris.gr.

Intellectual and Industrial property rights
Excluding any explicit exceptions (intellectual rights of third parties, associates and authorities), the entire content of the website, including pictures, graphics, photographs, designs, texts, overall layout, services provided and products and in general all files of the Store are the intellectual property, industrial designs, tradenames, distinctive marks, signs, symbols and registered trademarks and service marks of the Foundation and are protected by the relevant provisions of Greek and European law as well as those of international agreements, protocols and conventions.
Any other product or service mentioned in the Store bearing trademarks of the respective organizations, companies, associates, authorities, unions or publishers constitute their own intellectual and industrial property and therefore the latter bear all corresponding liability.
Visitor/User Liability
By accepting these present T&C and by navigating through the Store, you responsibly declare that you are legally eligible to enter into this present contract and to make use of the Store under the terms and conditions provided herein. In addition, as a visitor/user of the Store you agree and accept that you are financially liable for any and all use of the Store as well as for the use of your account by others – including persons cohabiting with you – and therefore you agree to supervise all use of the Store made by under-aged persons using your account or name.
The Foundation, including its advisors, directors, officers and employees, is solely liable for fraud and gross negligence and solely for damages incurred and its liability may not exceed the value of the sold products.
Applicable law and other terms
The Foundation and Store reserve the right to amend or update in writing these present T&C without prior notice, effective as of the date posted on the Store’s website. Failure of the Foundation to exercise any of its rights shall not be construed as a waiver.
Navigation, use and transaction with the Store is governed by Greek law, EU Law and the relevant international conventions. Any dispute that occurs during nagivation, use and transaction with the Store shall be exclusively submitted to the competent courts of Athens, Greece.
Any provision of the above terms which is deemed to be against law shall automatically cease to be valid and shall be removed from this present, without affecting the validity of the rest of the terms.
