Dimitris Kalantzis Quartet – Jazz Noir

The B&E Goulandris Foundation starts once again its popular series of concerts Jazz at the Museum, which kicks off on Friday October 14 at 20.30 with a tribute to Jazz Noir by the Dimitris Kalantzis Quartet.

Period films, many of which are black and white and have a captivating, dark atmosphere that takes viewers to a world of crime, mystery and passion, are closely linked to jazz music.

The Dimitris Kalantzis Quartet, with its great experience in adaptations, explores this dark and fascinating film world through a moving selection of films and music scores.

About the Jazz at the Museum series

The B&E Goulandris Foundation presents Jazz at the Museum, a series of tribute concerts to different jazz genres. Once a month, jazz meets visual art and together they take us on a musical journey to the heart of jazz, at the B&E Goulandris Foundation Amphitheatre and under the artistic direction of Dimitris Tsakas.

In the latest series, three great jazz bands present timeless film scores and soundtracks, from Jazz Noir to Nino Rota and Ennio Morricone.
