Ode to Color

How many emotions can be captured in a work of art?

Through his large-scale artworks and his vibrant colours, Nicholas Kontaxis reveals his unique way of communicating with the world. The B&E Goulandris Foundation opens a window into his studio, giving the opportunity to children aged 8-12 to discover a different form of artistic expression.

By letting their imagination run wild and embracing self-expression, the children engage with colour and learn how to use it as the sole and dominant medium. Using alternative tools, they explore the endless possibilities of colour to create their own compositions as abstract lines, dots and shapes of various sizes and hues become a means of communication.

Our workshops are designed with inclusivity in mind, providing a welcoming and accessible environment where every child can participate and express themselves freely through the power of art.

Workshop for children aged 8-12 years

Every Saturday, from March 22 to May 17, 2025 (except April 19) | 11.45-13.15

Number of participants: Up to 12 children

Cost of participation: 14€
Cost of participation for Young & Family Members: 11€
Cost of participation for Person with Disabilities: 7€

** Participants are advised to be at the Museum 15’ before the scheduled start time.
