Playing with forms!
Workshop for children aged 5-6
What is the difference between shapes and forms in art? Can we trace shapes and forms in the sculptures of Barbara Hepworth, Jean (Hans) Arps and Giacometti? What materials did these artists use to produce their wonderful forms and what are the stories behind each creation/sculpture?
Drawing inspiration from these three artists and after observing their works, at the Playing with forms! workshop children aged 5-6 try to make their own sculpture, exploring the different dimensions of clay.
Children have the opportunity to get acquainted with clay – a very child-frienly material – and use their imagination to produce their own forms through figures or abstract creations. At the final part of the workshop they also experiment with colours, bringing their sculptures to life!
