On Wednesday September 20, the B&E Goulandris Foundation is organising exclusively for its Members a “Game for Adults”, a different activity in its new temporary exhibition "Memories Steeped in Dream".

The temporary exhibition – a big tribute to the fundamental role of multiples in modern and contemporary art, on display until December 3 – features approximately 90 lithographs, engravings and ceramics by eight acclaimed 19th and 20th century artists: Aristide Maillol, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Henri Matisse, Fernand Léger, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Joan Miró and Balthus.

What is the relationship between a novel’s leading character and an acrobat? Can Hesiod find himself at an opera balcony?

Participants will seek the narrative in front of the works and look for the meeting point between literature and other forms of art. They will explore the work of great writers, they will match sounds to some of the Collection’s famous works, they will create their own narrative and they will dream of the worlds revealed in books.

The activity will focus on Hesiod’s “Theogony” by Braque, Toulouse-Lautrec’s “Twelve Lithographs” and selected works by Picasso.
