Michalis Brouzos Trio - "Brotherhood"
The latest series of the B&E Goulandris Foundation’s Jazz at the Museum concerts, which is titled “Jazz Interactions” and explores the different ways that jazz music interacts with other forms of art, continues on Friday, November 8 with the Michalis Brouzos Trio and the performance “Brotherhood”.
With a guitar, a piano and a cello, Michalis Brouzos, Thomas Kontogeorgis and Michalis Porfyris present their compositions, guided by the Mediterranean light and accompanied by the sculpture of Yiannis Brouzos. At the B&E Goulandris Foundation Amphitheatre the trio will perform a blend of sounds, images, colours and scents, small stories often dark yet at the same time bright, as at this melting pot West and East dance together celebrating the joys and the sadness of their people.
The music of the Michalis Brouzos Trio strikes a balance between contemporary classical with jazz touches from the world and ethnic scene. The trio has performed in many venues around Greece and in November 2022 they released their live album “Mesi Yi” with Jazz Breeze Records.
